One dreary winter day

He came my way

From words softly spoken

Sight unseen

Heart beating fast

At last a true man

One of honor

From the very start

I saw his heart

Friendship then blossomed

Pains and fears disappeared

As words conjoined

Two aligned

Needing to make him mine

Never knowing that was destined

Slowly as he drifts upon my shore

From one world to another

I realize the beauty in

When friends become lovers

Whispering
