As she gazed out the window

Into the morning sun 🌞

Permeated

She realized what was about to come

Among the stress

Chaos of the day

A wave of relief

Was sent her way

Drifting to the thoughts of him

A soldier

Big and bold stepped in

Never weary from the fight

For he had her in his sight

Strong and proud

Ready to defend

Honorable was he

As he was ready to show her love again

Battle scars of the past

Heartbeat steadily

Thumping hard

For the fight

To save her life

Knowing this he would surely win

There journey was about to begin

Swords put down

In the midst of fury

Taking her hand

Gripping tightly

They stood in glory

Together they gazed

Blinded by the light

Hearts become one

In beauty of the morning sun

Radiating

Lifting her high

Towards the heaven above

This soldier proved his love
