Sipping wine
Reflecting
On what brought me
To this ugly place and time
Mistakes of lust
Sins of the flesh
Misguided trust
Corruption
Villians i let in
Robbed of my innocence
Beliefs lost
Vowing to never be here again
Friends by my side
There arms opened wide
Wiping countless tears
Gulping bottles of red wine
Intense gaze
At the flickering wick
Confusion
Mouse caught in a maze
Losing grip
Fingers slip
Past ghosts
That haunt me
Watching them burn
In the flames of hell
Burning souls
For what they have done
Smoked obscured tears
Hitting the floor
Banging as hard as i can
Bruised knees
Knuckles bleed
Watching the blood slowly drip
From my fingertips
Painful intensities
Of evil i allowed
To cross my path
Cursing there names
They will never win
Held hostage now
Suffocation
Gasping
Sun setting
Fist clenched
This fight i will win
This fight is my life
You can not keep me
Hostage
Forever!

  7. Amazingly powerful and raw, Nikki!! I so wish you did not have to go through this experience and have to carry the scars from the demons!! In time they will be beautiful scars, badges of honor, that tell the tale of a strong and determined Woman Warrior who would not be held hostage, a woman who rose up and released herself from the chains and cage that held her back from the life and woman she wanted to be!! I am so thankful for you chuck and robbie couldn’t even fathom a day without you both ❤… friends I will never forget all whom have heard me cry listened and supported me like you both with friendships I hold so close to my heart..I also want to thank for the same reasons mentioned above a big thank you to Michael K and Jack and Simon and my friend rob whom has been a friend forever since I was kid and my new friend Michael R and my ex husband rick whom has been my rock sometimes at the hardest times

I am very happy to have read what you wrote in light of some of the “issues” in the recent past. I think someone you loved and who loved you shouldn’t destroy everything everything you once had just because you came to a parting of your ways!! Love never dies. Yes rick and I have known each other since he was 20 and I was 18 he knows everything about me and even though we divorced he never stopped loving me nor I him ….its actually a rare thing but we have maintained a strong friendship and it will never die..I also have a friend whom was a boyfriend in high school same thing knows me and the love never changes some people are just meant to be in our lives and my new friends well I have met some real angels…and yes I love them too!! ❤😘
