Looking in the mirror
Clenched fists
Banging on the glass
Screaming
Shards of shattered glass
Scattered on the ceramic floor
Reflection of the painful past
The reminder of losing herself
Succumbing to the person she pretended to be
Years lost
Animosity
Falling to her knees
Begging God please
Erase the painful memories
Words
Lies
The cries
At night
Soaked sheets
Drenched in
Regret
Cuts
Scratches
Hands folded
Looking to the sky
Fighting the tears
Falling from her eyes
Asking God why
Does it always end badly
Shattered

Painful experiences are always the ones that make us grow. When we learn to embrace our pain, we actually remove some of its power over us and are more likely to overcome faster. You are amazing my friend and perhaps if it always needs this way, there is something left to be learned. Much love to you.

Well written Nikki and we should learn by our mistakes, otherwise they will be repeated until we learn. I talk by experience.

No need for saying sorry, Nikki.
Either we learn first time or get it repeated in different ways, until we understand the taught.

To forgive myself, to listen to the sounds of my heart, and he will walk me to a better future. Trust in the process and the pain will be replaced with joy and new and better things! My heart will dance…again! Take his hand and have faith!
