She woke to the dawn of the morning light

Full of heartbreak

Seemingly no end in sight

Born a heart full of love

Delight

Now plastered with chaos

Turbulence

Pulled between the sun and the rain

Knowing what was in store for her

What she had to do

Ripping the tape painfully from her thoughts

To face the beauty of the morning frost

Looking through a different lens

Acumen

Wipe away the sins of the past

Bright can be the future

For he is not him

Nor they

His charisma different in many ways

Layers she must peel apart

The mending of two broken hearts

Reminds them that love is real

Tremendous

Profoundly tender

Facing now the day

Pain swept away

At the mere thought

Of his kiss
